How much does a website cost in Christchurch?

How long does it take?

Do I need to be in Christchurch?

No. The studio is in Christchurch and works with businesses across New Zealand; most of it happens over email and a call.

Will it show up on Google?

The build gives you what a search engine needs — fast static pages, correct headings, a sitemap and structured data. Ranking also depends on your domain, your Google Business Profile and time, and that gets explained honestly rather than promised.

Can I edit it myself?

Yes. You own the files and the hosting account.

What do you need from me to start?

What the site has to do and for whom, then your words and your photographs. Those two are what most projects actually wait on — the design and the build are rarely the slow part. If you have them ready at the start, a small site is closer to two weeks than four.

Do I own the website when it is finished?

Yes. The files and the hosting account are yours, in your name, and there is no monthly fee for the right to keep using your own site. Changing your own opening hours does not cost anything and does not require me.

What happens after it goes live?

The custom domain and the first year of hosting are already in the price, and you can send up to four content changes a month — hours, prices, photos — and they get made. Beyond that, ongoing work is quoted or run at the hourly rate.

Can you build an online shop?

There are shops in the work here — Babyhouse and The Cup Company both sell from the page. A shop is more than a six-page site, so it is quoted on its own rather than at the starting figure above.
